One of Jamie's favourite things to do in the community is visit local schools to share the world of Biggle-Dink. Combining stories with hands-on activities such as colouring in or 'Design-a-Friend' always goes down well with the children he sees.
Some of these visits are also in partnership with Friend in Deed who promote fantastic intergenerational friendships.
If you work at or represent a school in north Norfolk, Broadland, or Norwich, and would like to arrange a visit from Jamie then please get in touch. There is no charge to schools for this.
We couldn't possibly mention working in the community without talking about Nelson's Journey. The Big Feelings project has been one of Jamie's proudest moments of the Biggle-Dink journey so far. In 2024, sales of the book raised over £2,300 to support the amazing work that Norfolk's child bereavement charity does.
You can find out more about the project here.
There are few things more community-oriented than local radio. Jamie has been proudly producing and presenting the Kids' Corner show on Poppyland Community Radio since early in 2024.
You can find out more about the show here. Details of upcoming shows are posted on the Biggle-Dink social media pages.
Jamie finds it hard to say no, especially when it comes to the local schools in Cromer! He's even been known to dress up in the festive season to help out at Suffield Park Nursery - Ho Ho Ho!
There are a few plans in motion for more community projects and events in 2025 - come back here later and follow the Biggle-Dink social media pages to keep up to date with the latest news!
